The Interlude gamefi platform: a beginner’s guide
Go hunt for treasure across hundreds of worlds, and invest in one of the most innovative crypto project of this generation!
Interlude presents an innovative take on the concept of metaverse, that blends exploration, gamefi and play-to-earn. Interlude doesn’t have a main map or launcher where you can access all the worlds instantly. Instead the worlds are connected by portals into a gigantic open world (or dungeon), and you have to explore and unlock the world progressively by going through the portals.
On top of this ‘dungeon’ (graph structure made by the worlds connected by portal) is an innovative treasure hunt system that turns this into a play-to-earn exploration game. The exploration is enabled by a crypto asset system that regulates the earning rate, which itself is linked to the bonding curve that allows player to invest in the project: players have to stake the INT token to activate special assets (crystals) that produce energy, that is used to unlock new world and hence earn new rewards.
Thus the metaverse side and the crypto side of the project are all interlinked and reinforce each other: the treasure hunt gameplay wouldn’t work without an actual metaverse of hundreds of worlds to explore, but the metaverse without a crypto play-to-earn treasure hunt gameplay would be boring and devoid of purpose.
The price curve/bonding curve
The bonding curve indicates the current price for the INT token. This price depends only on the amount of INT already sold. The price follows an exponential function: it doubles for every 2% (and later 4%) of the total supply of token sold. Total supply is fixed to 1 billion.
How to buy
First, go to the actual platform on our website:
Access to the platform will be restricted to a special whitelist for the first part of the sale. Each wallet will have to be whitelisted and to be given an allowance. The allowance specifies how much the wallet is allowed to buy. The max allowance per wallet will be announced later but will be around a few hundred dollars in CRO. The platform will be deployed on the Cronos EVM blockchain (chain id 25), and the bonding curve will use the CRO token as primary currency.
If the access is restricted, you’ll first need to contact us (for example by DM on X/Twitter) to be whitelisted and to be given an investment allowance. The UI will display your whitelisted status and your remaining allowance.
Once you are whitelisted simply enter the amount of CRO you want to invest, press buy and validate the transaction. The corresponding amount of INT token will be displayed. Note that you won’t receive the INT token on your wallet! The tokens will be locked until our official launch (est. date Q2 2025). Until then the INT tokens can only be used on our platform.
Stake your INT to activate gems and crystals
Once you own some INT token, you can use them to purchase assets. There are two types of assets: crystals and gems. Choose crystals if you want to hunt for treasures in the Interlude, gems if you only want to invest but not play.
Crystals and gems are linked to the bonding curve by the liquidity claim system: every time someone makes a purchase through the bonding curve, 50% of the liquidity is reserved for crystal and gem holders proportionally to their holdings. This acts as an ‘automatic profit taking system’ and allows investors to get some return over their investment without allowing free trading. For more info on this you can read our full article:
Difference between gems and crystals
Both crystals and gems give access to the liquidity claim systems. On top of that crystals also produce energy, that is used to unlock new world in the Interlude metaverse. Each world potentially contains rewards either in liquid token or in new crystals.
The crystals activated by staking on the platform will be visible inside the Interlude game:
The more crystals you own, the more energy you’ll produce, and the more worlds you’ll be able to unlock. Hence your earnings in the Interlude game are directly proportional to the number of crystals you own (or rather, their total power).
Crystal inflation
When a player finds a crystal in one of the Interlude world, this crystal is minted on the gamefi platform. This means the number of crystals keeps increasing.
Because we want to keep the amount of INT staked in crystal constant (or else we would be minting new INT), this means the price in INT of each crystal has to decrease.
Hence there is a race against time as soon as you decide to stake your INT into crystals: the equivalent quantity of INT that you could get back by unstaking will keep decreasing, and the only way to make up for it is by playing the game and finding crypto rewards and new crystals.
